Pedicures are a very popular treatment at Little Treats. I offer two kinds of pedicure, a mini and a deluxe. A mini takes around 30 minutes and a deluxe around 45 minutes, They both include a foot soak, exfoliation, removal of hard skin, double stage moisturise, cuticle work and a file and polish/buff. The deluxe also includes a deep moisturising clay mask and a foot massage.

As well as being incrediably relaxing, there are many health benefits to having a pedicure. These are often ignored, and as your feet take your weight on a daily basis they should be looked after. Regular pedicures decrease the risk of infections, cutting toe nails prevents them becoming ingrown and causing pain and discomfort. The elimination of dirt will also prevent nail disease disorders and foot odours. In addition, a pedicure will remove all hard skin build up, and in Little Treats pedicures you get a double layer moisturiser. Moisturised feet, with no hard skin, are less likely to get blisters, cracks or become painful. The exfoliation section of the pedicure removes all dead skin cells, like a facial exfoliation, and encourages new cell growth which will be smoother and softer.

The deluxe pedicure has the bonus of helping to promote blood flow to the feet. If you are slightly immobile for whatever reason, or suffer from puffy swollen feet, the massage in the deluxe version works wonders to help inflammation go down and help feet move. The increase in circulation from the massage helps revitalise the muscles and really helps if you are unable to use them naturally.

My pedicure products I use are from the Footlogix pedicure range, which is the worlds first foot care range made with pharmaceutical ingredients. The formula allows active ingredients to penetrate faster and deeper into the skin for fantastic results. They are diabetic friendly – and I am insured to provide treatments on those with diabetes, and leave your feet feeling tingly.

I am very experienced in providing pedicures to clients with disabilities and those who have limited/no mobility. I always sit on the floor to provide pedicures, so they are ideal for those who are housebound or can not move around much.

All of my tools are sterilised using Barbicide Hospital strength sterliser, so there is also no risk of contamination.

If you want Summer ready feet now is an ideal time to start a pedicure regime. I recommend treatments every 4-6 weeks, so that the health of your feet is maintained and issues are not allowed to build up. If you start on this now you will have flip flop feet in no time at all. For everyone else it’s a nice addition to your beauty programme, to help prevent hard, cracked, painful feet.
